Today's woman-eat-man society. Are women out to finish men and their money?

Topic

Today's topic was about the woman eat man society that we live in. Mwalimu believes that the ladies we have today are out to finish mankind. He asked whether you have ever heard of a lady who has been bankrupted by a man. Women are out to finish the men and their money.

My Human Opinion

Women are attracted to and stick with men with ambition; men who know where they want to go and are working towards it. It's one thing to use sweet talk and another to actually do what you say.

The main role of the husband is to provide. He should provide for his family's needs, and then some. If you are a fisherman then strive to be the best fisherman there is. Find the best fishing spots, pimp up your boat, get the best nets, find the best price for the fish etc. And if you can't fish for any reason, then get up dust yourself and start selling hooks. Your woman will see your effort, continue respecting you and stick with you, despite the loss of earnings.

What do think a woman would do if she says to a man , "Wherever you go I will follow" and the man goes nowhere? I think she will go, just not with you. It's really a woman-eat-some-men society.

The women we have today have greater demands. They want a man who is rich, physically appealing, well groomed, sensitive, courageous, good listener etc. Can one man be all that? That will not be answered here.  However, if you can't keep up it goes without saying that you will be finished. (Reducing your woman's demands is also a means of keeping up. But men take this fact too far by discouraging and dampening their woman's demands)

So the question really should be, can the men keep up with the demands of the women in their lives? Will they do anything to meet those demands?
Now about Mwalimu's question there are ladies who have been bankrupted by men. That number is sadly increasing. Men should step up and do what it takes to make it. and stop being lazy. As they are watching football every weekend, the women are studying for their degrees, masters and PhDs or building their businesses. Then they wonder what's going on.

My Biblical Opinion

Men, the Bible has a lot to say about work and money and your role as providers. The Bible exhorts all to work hard. Both men and women. Work was the first duty given to man by God
Genesis 2: 15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.
Proverbs 10: 4 Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth.
Ephesians 4: 28 He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need.
As we work, it is important to increase our skill levels. Thus the need for example to further your studies, or work under a mentor.
Proverbs 22: 29 Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve before kings; he will not serve before obscure men.
Now, speaking about women taking over from the men consider this Biblical story of Deborah and Barak
Judges 4: 4-9
4 Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time.
5 She held court under the Palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites came to her to have their disputes decided.
6 She sent for Barak son of Abinoam from Kedesh in Naphtali and said to him, "The LORD, the God of Israel, commands you: 'Go, take with you ten thousand men of Naphtali and Zebulun and lead the way to Mount Tabor.
7 I will lure Sisera, the commander of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his troops to the Kishon River and give him into your hands.' "

8 Barak said to her, "If you go with me, I will go; but if you don't go with me, I won't go."

9 "Very well," Deborah said, "I will go with you. But because of the way you are going about this, the honor will not be yours, for the LORD will hand Sisera over to a woman." So Deborah went with Barak to Kedesh,
Commander Barak has been given the best briefing any military leader can ever have, definite victory! Yet he chickens out and doesn't fully believe the woman prophetess. What was his punishment? He lost the honour of winning the war (that was rightfully his) to a woman. Nature abhors a vacuum. Enough said.

Finally,
Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,
Today is Friday. Enjoy the weekend and let's see what next week brings.
