Njyes performance after 50

Today Maina and Mwalimu were talking about njyes performance after 50. Mwalimu was of the opinion that men peak to 50 and women with husbands over 50 knew their men very well and knew how to manage their performance. They asked two questions, was it true that men over 50 need something extra to perform? And would the men take offense if your lady suggested that they use Viagra?

My Human Opinion

Most of us are not over 50—yet. So we can't speak from experience. However, it's a well known medical fact that the human body function deteriorate over time. We cannot say with adequate assurance that that 'time' starts at 50 years, because there are many things to consider.
  • Physical fitness or lack thereof
  • Alcohol and/or drug abuse or smoking
  • Diet and general lifestyle
  • Genes
  • Emotional state e.g. stress
  • Overall health.
And so on...

So it's possible that some men over fifty will not need any performance enhancer.

Now, about the second-question, I imagine that a man would not wait to be 'suggested' for. He would read the signs of the times and get the remedy himself—quietly.

But what do I know? This is just my imagination.

My Biblical Opinion

The all the Bible patriarchs slowed down in life once age caught up with them. Consider the old warrior King David in this story from 1 Kings chapter 1.
1 When King David was old and well advanced in years, he could not keep warm even when they put covers over him. 2 So his servants said to him, "Let us look for a young virgin to attend the king and take care of him. She can lie beside him so that our lord the king may keep warm."
3 Then they searched throughout Israel for a beautiful girl and found Abishag, a Shunammite, and brought her to the king. 4 The girl was very beautiful; she took care of the king and waited on him, but the king had no intimate relations with her.
Poor old King needed help even to keep warm. I'm sure not even having a beautiful young virgin lying with him could have arisen the equipment. But the King was old and 'well' advanced in years.

Enough said.

NOTE: Humans were much stronger in the Biblical times than we are now. Disease (the after-effects of sin) and the Earth/environment had not taken their toll on the human body.

That's why before-the-flood dudes like Adam could live to be 930 years but after-the-flood people, like us, had much shorter life-spans.

Besides, without going into too much theological debate, even the scientists have what is called the natural exponential decay rate. As you can see below, the life spans closely follows the exponential decay curve.

So our future generations in many centuries to come (if God wills) will age and die much faster. They will be shocked that humans once used to live until 70.

Anyway, what do I know?
