Njyes performance after 50

Today Maina and Mwalimu were talking about njyes performance after 50. Mwalimu was of the opinion that men peak to 50 and women with husbands over 50 knew their men very well and knew how to manage their performance. They asked two questions, was it true that men over 50 need something extra to perform? And would the men take offense if your lady suggested that they use Viagra?

What would make a woman like Grace Mugabe stray?

Today Maina Kageni and Mwalimu King'ang'i were talking about Bob Mugabe's cheating wife, Grace. Mwalimu argued that Mugabe is a handsome (what??), educated alpha-male and gave Grace everything a woman would ever want materially. Yet she betrayed the man who made all this possible. So the questions were, women, what else would you want? What would make a woman like Grace Mugabe disGrace (pun intended) her husband by straying?

Are women of the 'red-thigh' dangerous?

Yesterday, Maina Kageni and Mwalimu Kingangi were talking about the 'red-thigh-ed' women from a story in one of the Dailies. Apparently, the men who end up with these women end up dying. So our hosts asked the all important question, 'do you believe this red thigh business?'

Behind every successful woman is a...?

Today Maina Kageni and Mwalimu Kingangi were talking about how women are buying more cars, houses and property than men. Mwalimu was of the opinion that that was to be expected and it would have been impossible to achieve that without the help of a man, the unseen, unheard, unappreciated shujaa (hero)!

Training a good husband. Was tradition unfair to men?

Yesterday Maina wa Kageni and Joseph wa Kingangi were talking about unfairness in tradition. In our African cultural traditions, women are always advised by their mothers, peers and aunts on how to be a good wife. But these same cultures have ignored the men. There is no course on how to be a good husband. Mwalimu was of the opinion that being a husband comes naturally and gave the example of the animal kingdom.

Divine Health; Divine Healing

Today Maina wa Kageni and Mwalimu Kingangi have taken a welcome break from their usual topic(s). It was (about) to get monotonous quoting and re-quoting the same Bible verses again and again and again and—(see what I mean?).

Today they were talking about health, especially the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), which leads to, among others, cervical cancer. The show was very educative.

However, we shall take it a step higher and talk about divine healing.

The marriage constitution

Yesterday and today Maina wa Kageni and Mwalimu Kingangi were talking about constitutions. Apparently there is a man in Nyeri who wrote a constitution for his family. Our hosts therefore wanted both the male and female views so that we could draft a constitution for marriage and relationships.

Let's draft some thing shall we?

Can women live in harmony in a polygamous marriage?

Today Maina wa Kageni and Mwalimu Kingangi were talking about polygamy. Rather, they were talking about the late Ancentus Akuku aka 'Danger', Kenya's most 'celebrated' polygamist. That Mzee's story is amazing. Anyway, back to our topic. Mwalimu was of the opinion that the modern woman should borrow a thing or two from Akuku in terms of agreeing to live in harmony. Then our dear hosts asked what lesson we have all learned.

Let's learn...
